If it cannot connect
- Use
https://omnimodel.me/v1as the API host, without/chat/completions. - The key starts with
key_and is not paused or revoked;auth.invalid_keymeans the key cannot be used. - The model ID matches the catalog and is in the key's allowed models.
billing.insufficient_creditmeans the balance is too low; see common errors for more.
Setup
- Open the extension settings, go to Translation Services, and pick OpenAI.
- Expand the custom settings and fill in the API host and key below.
- Set the model ID and run the test.

- Yes. Pages are sent in segments, so long pages can make many calls; prefer a cheaper model.
- What if the translation quality is poor?
- Switch to a stronger text model, or adjust the prompt in the extension.
